Like the popular ideology that equates beauty with being skinny, the same belief is now very desirable in website culture. It is not enough for a website to work on large screens. It must display even better on smaller, “skinnier” screens. It is deemed unattractive to view a distorted website on a mobile device simply because it was not customized for mobile. The new trend is to have responsive websites that look good in every dimension.
