Andrew Roberts on early museum computerisation in the UK

Andrew Roberts was the Research Officer and Company Secretary of the IRGMA project and the Museum Documentation Association (MDA) in 1974-91 and the Documentation Officer/Head of Information Resources in the Museum of London from 1993 to 2004.
He talks about his part in early museum computerisation in the UK, namely the Sedgwick Project, IRGMA, and the MDA. He also describes his work in the Museum of London.

“Ideas for Museums: a Biography of Museum Computing” is a research project about the history of museum computerization. The idea is to collect interviews with museum professionals who were/are working on implementing digital technologies in everyday museum practice.
