Josep Planas i Montanyà is the photographer who established the iconographic representation of the Balearic Islands during the 50s and 60s. In addition to one of the largest photography archives on Balearic Islands, his collection also holds all forms of media, such as written press, magazines, books, prints and film that sum up more than 4.000.000 images and more than 2,000 cameras of different brands and models that he used and collected.

DIAGRAMMING THE ARCHIVE

Five artists created diagram artworks in response to two sets of archival documents and reconstruct acts that inscribe the subject’s relation to the state: the signing of the Covenant and Declaration documents at Belfast City Hall in 1912 and the reading of the Proclamation document at the General Post Office, Dublin, in 1916.

Elvira Santamaria Torres live art project regarding violence, mourning and regeneration processes in México and Central America, from her closest context and personal story to a largest context and historical scale. She createse a corpus of poetic works of regeneration symbols in a video film of public performances.
BELFAST EXPOSED PHOTOGRAPHY ARCHIVE

Belfast Exposed Photography maintains a substantial collection of negatives and slides in trust for the community.
The collection has been compiled over the past 30 years through contributions from professional and amateur photographers and communities. It represents a valuable historical document recording political, cultural and social change in Northern Ireland.
THX CENTRE FOR SOUND, IMAGE AND DIGITAL CULTURE

Following the termination of NIMk (Netherlands Media Art Institute) due to the cancelling of financial support by the Ministry of Culture, the institute developed a plan to transfer its knowledge, mandate and networks.
Under the name THX plans have been developed in consultation with STEIM (STudio for Electro-Instrumental Music) and V2_ Institute for Unstable Media towards a completely new center for image, audio and digital culture in The Hague.

Amplified Architecture temporarily transforms the surroundings by amplifying or ignoring the adjoining architecture and consists of monumental projects, site specific works, media facades, interventions, installations and performances often commissioned and co-produced with the artists.

MyCityLab beta is an online space showcasing art projects, educational resources, technological developments and participatory processes which are grounded in a direct relationship with a particular local context. It was used to change traditional festival model towards urban laboratory function, where artists create site-specific works and performances.
First offline project “The Rise of Performance Architecture” camp–conference was held in Kureghem/ Eurostation area of Brussels.
